Inner City Struggle promotes safe, healthy, and non-violent communities on the Eastside of Los Angeles by engaging youth to become lifelong learners and community leaders. They provide core programs and life skills, advocacy, and academic achievement through school clubs and after school programming at their center. Our grant for $29,398.00 provides for a new youth technology center, including new i-pads, desktop computers, interactive monitor and furniture. Approximately 250 youth a year will complete homework, receive targeted academic interventions, intensive college prep and application support, and advocacy training for their community and schools. The new technology will significantly enhance their current program and increase the number of students they can serve.
