TLC provides for the lifetime needs of individuals with multiple disabilities and blindness. Services for children include early intervention, center based programs and wrap around child care in order to help each one achieve his or her potential. Our grant of $8,355.00 provides a portable vision screener used to test children ages 6 months to 6 years for risk factors to vision problems. Approximately 1,000 children a year will receive free vision screenings at Head Start preschools, health fairs, schools, and their in house programs. Having their own screener will allow TLC to increase the number of screenings they conduct each year.
