HAVEN HILLS
Our grant of $16,207 funds the remodel of the children’s room in the Haven Two Transitional Housing program. Haven Hills provides safety, shelter and support to all victims of domestic violence while working to break the cycle of abuse. Approximately 60 children ages 4 to 17, living in transitional housing, will utilize the remodeled children’s room, which is used for education, computer access, group meetings and play. The children’s room is the hub for all after-school programming including homework help, art classes, tutoring, educational programs, community building, computer access, and relaxing. Children and teens who enter the program come from severe trauma, and remodeling the space and providing updated technology will promote learning in a more colorful, comfortable and grounding space.
