WESTSIDE FAMILY HEALTH CENTER

wfhcenter.org

Our grant for $50,000 funds new medical equipment for the expanded pediatric program at Westside Family Health Center’s new facility in Culver City. WFHC provides comprehensive, high quality, cost-effective health care that empowers patients to take an assertive role in caring for their well-being through all stages of life. Approximately 3,000 children per year, ages birth to 17, will receive quality primary health care as well as vision, hearing, and neo-natal jaundice screening. 98% of the families seeking medical care at WFHC live below the poverty line. The equipment funded by WHY will equip the new space and provide quality care to more children, thereby improving health outcomes. With the new testing equipment, Westside Family Health Center will be able to provide on-site testing to eliminate barriers for low income families and ensure they do not have to make additional trips and take extra days off of work, which can be a major obstacle to healthcare for working families.
